Jesse Cullen
Hi, my name is Jesse Cullen and am a twenty-six year old social justice activist. I live in the birthplace of General Motors Canada, Oshawa, Ontario and I am currently studying Criminology and Justice at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
I am involved in all sorts of activism, with a special interest in - but not limited to - poverty reduction. I'm involved with organizations such as Fair Vote Canada and Feed the Need Durham.
I'm also heavily involved in politics. I was a candidate for Oshawa City Councillor in the 2010 municipal elections and I am currently the Youth Representative for the NDP Oshawa Federal Riding Executive.
I'm interested in writing about a wide-range of current events and social justice issues and I hope to engage many people along the way. I hope you will find my writing inspiring, thought-provoking, and provocative. Thanks for taking the time to visit my homepage and stay tuned!
